]]> One of our students at LifePoint Church is heading up a HUGE camas high school outreach. It will take place March 25th-29th. The theme of the week is “stories; showing people the gospel through stories.” Each day will be a different gospel presentation during lunch and after school. One of the trailblazers (Luke Babbot) is coming in to speak.
I would love to see LifePoint Church parter with this outreach. Two ways that you can help:
Bake. One of the days they are doing a dessert table for all the students at camas. If you want to bake a dessert send me a message or comment of what you are willing to bring. All desserts can be brought to LPC Sunday March 24th.
Give. There are some major financial needs. If you would like to give you can fill out a giving envelope Sunday morning and mark it “Camas Outreach.” Also you can give online here:
https://secure.accessacs.com/access/OnlineGiving/GiveNowFunds.aspx.

Designate it under missions-offering and put “camas outreach” as the description.

]]> Q: Are u guys using this email the rest of the year can we still ask questions

A: Yes!!! We are going to do text it in 2013 every quarter and after every major series.

Q: How do you start to understand the bible more if you dont understand it now?

A:What translation are you using? Try NLT that is a beginners translation. I wouldn’t advice you to keep reading that as you grow in your faith but it makes it a lot easier to read. Also where are you reading? Are you starting at a random spot every time? If so, start in a book like Matthew and read it chapter by chapter and bookmark where you left off. You can always get a teen study Bible to help you understand more. The NIV has a great one.

Q: When your starting to drop all the bad out of your life and that one bad opportunity comes by.. Is that god putting that bad opportunity in your life to test you?

A: James 1:13. We are tempted by our own evil desires. God does not temp us to make us stumble. God tests us to strengthen our faith but not to lead us down the wrong path.

Q: If god knows that were going to sin before we do it, then why did he create Eve if he knew she was going to sin?

A: That is the question of the ages. People have been arguing about this topic for centuries. I don’t have the answer to that. I would say that if God wanted to create robotic humans that worshiped him without using reason, free will, or a genuine love he could have. However God created humans to have the ability to choose stuff over God, and we have been doing that since the beginning of time. The beautiful thing about the Gospel is that God still loves us although we choose everything else over him.

Q: How do you receive the Holy Ghost?

A: Every Christian receives the Holy Spirit. There is a “2nd work of grace” I beeive in where God baptizes you in His Spirit. That’s simply a matter of praying and asking and waiting for him. It’s a gift, so you cant’ earn it. Just ask him! He gives it to us so we can be better witnesses.

Q: Have you ever had that feeling you cant explain when you know god is talking to you!?

A: YES!!! Absolutely, it doesn’t happen to me every second of everyday but there are for sure times that God has spoken to me. Not in an audible voice but through his spirit. Also as I read the Bible God speaks to me through his words. If you ever feel like God isn’t speaking to you read the Bible, there are thousands of words that God has spoken that are directed towards you.

]]> This Wednesday we will be doing a Q&A. It will be called “text it in” because (wait for it) students will text in questions. Over the past few weeks we have gone through some pretty heavy passages that have brought up dozens of questions. Our weekly small groups have helped enormously but we want to dedicate a whole night to get through as many questions as we can.
